Every year in the United States, more than 3,500 infants die during sleep from infant sleep-related deaths, including SIDS and suffocation. These losses are often preventable through awareness and education.
To address this urgent need, Cribs for Kids®—a national leader in infant safe sleep since 1998—created the Safe Sleep Academy. For more than two decades, Cribs for Kids® has worked to prevent sleep-related infant deaths by educating parents and caregivers and providing portable cribs to families who cannot afford a safe sleep space.
The Safe Sleep Academy is a free, online resource designed for anyone caring for an infant. Our goal is to empower families with the “why” behind the safe sleep recommendations and present this information in an easy-to-understand format that can be accessed anytime, anywhere.
